Most calendars show you a week. This one shows you a week and tells you the truth about it: which diary every booking is really in, whether it got there, and who put it there. That is the difference between a diary you read and a diary you can trust.
Day gives you a column per person. Week overlays every diary with overlapping jobs side by side. Staff puts people down the left and days across the top with an hours total on each row, which is the view for working out who has capacity. Month is the six-week picture.
A booking's colour never says who is doing the job. It says which diary the booking actually lives in, so a glance across the week tells you what is in your calendar and what is still only with us. Everything else on the page is grey, so the only colour is colour that means something.
Pull a job to a new time or on to somebody else. Drag across empty space to book one. It writes back to the connected diary.
Anything the agent took on a call or by text carries its own mark, and the card opens the call it came from. Its bookings are never confused with the ones a person typed in.
The page prints which timezone it is keeping, so a business either side of the Tasman can see at a glance that it is reading its own hours.
Three things happen between the phone ringing and the appointment sitting in somebody's diary. The order matters: it checks before it offers, which is why it will not promise a time that has gone.
While the caller is still talking, it looks at staff availability across the diaries you have joined up. Ask for a particular person and it checks that person, and if two of your team share a first name it asks the caller which one rather than guessing.
Only times somebody is genuinely open, with the weekday and the date said out loud so nobody turns up on the wrong Tuesday. A caller only ever learns that an hour is free or busy, never what is in it.
Into the right person's diary, marked as a booking the agent made. It checks for a clash once more as it writes, so two callers cannot land on the same slot, and if it has not reached your calendar yet the page says so.
Two-way means two-way: we read your calendar before offering a time, and we write the booking back into it. Change something at your end and it comes back to us.
Some of these are switched on for you by our team when you sign up, rather than being something you connect yourself. Tell us what you run and we will sort it out with you.
This calendar was built because an appointment saved with us, never reached Google, and nobody found out until the day. Now every booking wears where it stands, and the ones that have not made it out are the loudest thing on the page.
Some people will never ring. The website booking embed gives them the same live availability without a phone call, and you still get one diary at the end of it.
See the booking agent →A diary stuck behind a login is no use in a driveway with a phone in one hand. So the calendar has two doors out of it: one for you, and one for the systems you already run.
Add your diary to the calendar app you already use: iPhone, Android through Google Calendar, or Outlook on the web. Your week turns up beside everything else you keep, each job carrying the customer's phone number and what they wanted. It is a private link, read only, and you can revoke it whenever you like.
On the phone you carryYour website form, a roster board, your own app. Read the diary, book into it, move a booking or cancel one, over the same API and the same tokens as the rest of Talkify. Anything booked this way is stamped as yours, so you can always tell it from a job the agent took on a call.
Read and writeBuilding against the API? We will send you the endpoints, the two permissions a token can carry, and a key to try it with. Ask us for the reference →
Yes. It checks who is free while the caller is still on the phone, offers only times somebody is genuinely open, and writes the appointment into that person's diary. It checks again at the moment it writes, so two callers cannot take the same slot.
Google Calendar is two-way today: we read it before offering a time and write the booking back into it. Microsoft Outlook, Apple Calendar and other CalDAV diaries such as Fastmail and Nextcloud are built and being rolled out, and we can set one up with you on request. If you keep no calendar at all, Talkify keeps one for you.
It is marked on the calendar rather than left to be discovered on the day. A booking waiting to go out carries an amber hatch, one your calendar refused carries a red one, and you can push either into the diary with one click.
Yes. Anything the agent took on a call or by text is marked, and the detail card says it came in on a call and links to that call. So the bookings it made are never confused with the ones a person typed in.
Yes. Drag a booking to a new time or a different person's diary, or drag across empty space to create one. The change is written back to the connected calendar. Bookings copied in from a job system are read only and stay where they are.
Fergus jobs are copied on to the calendar in their own colour, read only, so the diary shows the real day rather than half of it. They are changed in Fergus and the change comes back here on the next sweep. More job systems follow the same route, starting with Fergus.
Yes. Subscribe to your diary from the calendar app you already use, on iPhone, on Android through Google Calendar, or in Outlook on the web. It is a private link, read only, and you can revoke it at any time. Bear in mind a subscribed calendar refreshes when the phone decides to, which can be a few hours, so it is the place to see your week rather than to check whether a booking has just come in.
Yes. The Talkify API covers the calendar: read the diary, book an appointment, move one or cancel one, using the same tokens as the rest of the API. A token carries reading on its own, or reading and booking together. Anything booked that way is stamped as coming from your system rather than from the agent. Ask us for the reference and a key.
No. It is part of the Talkify dashboard and comes with your agent. See the pricing page for the plans.
