Under the bonnet. Phone still answered.

Built for independent workshops, mobile mechanics and auto sparkies. Talkify books WOFs and services into your diary, quotes your standard jobs, fends off the parts-rep calls, and texts you the stranded customer the second they ring.

The front desk you never had room for.

Most workshops lose the booking race at the phone, not the hoist. Talkify answers like a service advisor who knows your diary, your prices and your regulars.

WOFs & services booked.

The agent sees your free slots and books WOFs, services and diagnostics straight in. Confirmation texted to the customer, summary texted to you, diary always current.

Breakdowns escalated.

Customer stranded on the side of the road, car won't start at the supermarket, brakes feeling wrong on the motorway. Urgent calls text your phone in seconds.

Standard job quotes.

WOF fee, service tiers, common brake and battery jobs quoted on the call. Odd requests flagged for callback.

Suppliers filtered.

Parts reps, couriers and tyre wholesalers handled as routine messages. Customers are what reach your pocket.

After-hours cover.

The 7pm "can I get a WOF tomorrow" caller books themselves in while you're at dinner. Diary's fuller by morning.

A workshop day, on the phone.

How the agent runs the counter for a two-hoist workshop in Palmerston North.

Caller · 8:12amCan I get a WOF today or tomorrow? It expired Friday.
TalkifyTomorrow 8:30am is free. What's the rego and make? I'll book it in and text you the confirmation, it's a $65 WOF fee.
Caller · 1:36pmMy car's just died in the New World carpark, it won't turn over at all.
TalkifySounds like you're stuck, I've texted Aaron your number and location now. If it's the battery he can usually get someone there within the hour. He'll call you right back.
Caller · 4:50pmRoughly how much is a full service on a 2016 Ranger?
TalkifyA full service on the Ranger runs $420 to $480 including oil and filters. I've got Thursday morning free if you want it locked in now.

The booking lands in MechanicDesk.

A call is only worth taking if the job ends up where you look for it. Talkify writes into the workshop software and the diary you already keep, so nobody re-types a rego at five o'clock.

01 MechanicDesk Reads your own job types and your open days live on the call, then lodges the booking request with the caller, the vehicle and the fault written into it, the same way a request off your website arrives. Booking requests in 02 Calendly For the diagnostics you would rather the customer confirmed themselves, the agent reads your real open times and texts a single-use booking link that Calendly confirms. Single-use links 03 Xero Recognises the account customer from your Xero contacts, answers what is outstanding on the phone, and rings the trade accounts that have run past terms. $10/mo, 50c a min 04 Slack & Microsoft Teams Every answered call posted into the workshop channel the moment it ends: who rang, what they wanted and a link to the transcript. Broadcast fits most growing NZ businesses. One agent covers one number and three callers at once.

Includes 250 minutes a month, then 10c a minute (20c after your first 3 months). The first 20 texts a month are free, then 10c each.

Adding a second agent? Every agent after the first is 20% off, so $103.20 a month each.

Frequently asked.

Nine of the questions we hear most. If yours isn't here, ring our live demo agent on 03 242 1262, it'll either answer or queue a callback from a human.

Can it book WOFs and services into our diary?
Yes. The agent knows your WOF, service and diagnostic slots, books callers into Google Calendar or Outlook, and texts both you and the customer the confirmation. Jobs can also flow into your workshop management software.
We're under cars all day. How do we get the messages?
By text. Every call ends with an SMS summary to your phone: who rang, what they need, what got booked or quoted. Urgent ones (a breakdown, a customer stranded) come through the moment they happen. The rest you can scan at lunch with greasy hands, no voicemail to dial into.
Can it quote prices over the phone?
Your standard jobs, your prices. WOF fee, service tiers, brake pads on common models, a diagnostic hour. Load them once and the agent quotes them on the call. Anything unusual gets flagged for your callback instead of a made-up number.
What about parts suppliers and couriers ringing all day?
The agent recognises supplier and courier calls and handles them as routine: takes the message, logs the ETA, never pings your phone. Customer enquiries are what reach you.
How much does it cost for a small workshop?
A business agent is $129/month at the founding rate for your first 3 months, then $199. That includes 250 minutes; extra minutes are 10c. No setup fee, no lock-in. A single booked service covers the month.
Will older customers cope with an AI answering?
It's a normal phone conversation, no menus, no "press 1". The agent speaks naturally with a Kiwi accent option, repeats details back, and books the job. Customers who'd hang up on voicemail stay on the line because someone answered.
Does it work with MechanicDesk and our calendar?
Yes. The agent reads your MechanicDesk job types and open days live on the call and lodges the booking request with the caller, the vehicle and the fault in it, the same as a request off your website. Workshops keeping the book in Google Calendar, Outlook or Calendly get the diary read before a time is offered and the job written back. Xero can be connected too, so the agent recognises account customers and answers what they owe.
